Quick history of Nv Peng You "Peng". Peng adopted the yard about a year ago as her home but hadn't adopted us yet. A couple of months ago she started following Michael (pictured above) around as he worked on the equipment. She soon figured out that we were all excellent sources of food and loving.
A name was what she needed. After googling "rock" and finding that it is not a catchy cat name in any language we knew we had to be more creative. Michael said "whatever the Chinese word is on the back of my fortune cookie slip will be her name." We lucked out that word in his fortune cookie said "girlfriend" in Chinese. And that's how our sweet stray cat got her pu-u-u-rfect name. We have shortened it to Peng or Peng Peng. But recently we have been calling her Prego Pengo, Little Mama, or even BIG Mama! Thats right Peng is having kittens!
Bill learned when MaryBeth was pregnant with the girls that pregnant ladies like their bellies rubbed. Peng loves it too. That's Bill rubbing Peng and she is a wet noodle of contentment.
This is Stephanie giving Peng some of her daily dose of loving. We are hoping she will be taking a little Pengette home with her after the big day comes.
Everyone at the yard is excited to find out who will get bragging rights on our Kitten Pool. And yes, we will be posting baby pictures as soon as they have come into the world!
